MBI Selangor Signs Strategic Agreements at SAS 2024 to Enhance Collaboration

On September 12, 2024, during the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2024, Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) (MBI) signed several strategic memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and memorandums of collaboration (MOCs) to bolster the state's aerospace sector.

A notable partnership was established with Vencast Sdn Bhd, where MBI committed to supporting Vencast's new manufacturing site by facilitating land acquisition and navigating regulatory processes. Vencast, in collaboration with Turkish Aerospace Industries, plans to supply parts and set up a manufacturing hub in Selangor, enhancing the state's position in the aerospace industry.

Additionally, MBI entered into a tripartite MOU with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad and Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd (GTA) to expand GTA's maintenance, repair, and overhaul center in Selangor. This expansion aims to strengthen the state's aerospace infrastructure and generate employment opportunities for local residents.

These collaborations reflect Selangor's strategic initiatives to become a leading aerospace hub in the region, fostering economic growth and technological advancement.
